Companies have often developed monolithic applications with a single structure over the years, which are now no longer able to meet the requirements of a modern software architecture.

We observe the following scenario in many companies: first, core processes are transferred from a pen-and-paper process to a more digital form, such as an Excel spreadsheet. Often, they reach the limits of usability and performance here, and companies opt for custom development. An on-premises solution is then developed in a waterfall project, which is then confronted with requirements over a period of years and repeatedly expanded. This application is now to be transferred to a modern cloud architecture. The reasons: Technical limits are reached that are no longer up to the complexity or profitability of continued operation.
