QIAGEN is a stock exchange listed provider of sample preparation and testing technologies for molecular diagnostics, academic research, pharmaceutical industry and applied testing. Specifically, QIAGEN provides differentiated sample-to-insight solutions for molecular testing. The company’s goal: to help customers gain valuable insights from any biological sample – from basic research to clinical care. QIAGEN is a global company and currently has 35 offices in over 25 countries. Approximately 6,200 employees provide expertise and service to customers in virtually every corner of the globe.
The goal was to create a holistic Digital Workplace focused on the needs of their employees and providing them with a central platform. In a cross-functional team, the new Digital Workplace called QIAverse, was anchored in the company as a long-term program. The Digital Workplace is based on SharePoint Online and is integrated into Microsoft Teams as a separate application. It consists of three central elements: A News Hub, a personalized workspace “My Area” and the classic intranet “Knowledge Base”. Employees can find news and information as well as all the documents and apps they need for their daily work. The digital workplace has been optimized for mobile to include non-desktop workers. In line with QIAGEN’s EMPOWER culture, business units are empowered to independently share content with the entire organization.
